NAMING CEREMONY: A ceremony that occurs on every person's thirteenth birthday, when a Reader (a mysterious woman) helps define the meaning of your name. This meaning then determines what you will do in  life. For example, if your name is defined as teacher, you would pursue teaching. If your name is defined as provider, you might pursue farming or banking. If your name is defined as healer, you might pursue medicine.
